MERITORIOUS SERVICE is awarded to a past or present MWBA member who has distinguished herself through outstanding service to the Middletown Association over a period of years.  She must have been a WIBC member in good standing for at least fifteen (15) years.  The nominee for Meritorious Service does not have to be a bowling star.

 1.       Barb is being recognized for her contributions to the sport of bowling over the past 38 years.

 2.       Barb's accomplishments include:

  • High Game:  254        
  • High Series:  607        
  • High Average:  171   

3.       Tournament Achievements: 

  • 1st Place Team Actual in 90 City Tournament  
  • 3rd Place Handicap in 86 City Tournament

4.       Other Achievements:

  •  600 Club member for 10 years
  • Competed in 18 City, 15 State, & 10 National Tournaments

 5.       Offices Held: 

  • Currently MWBA President  
  • 600 Club Secretary for 2 years 
  • MWBA Director 4 years
  • MWBA Officer 8 years Held
  • All League Level Offices
  • Delegate to 12 State Conventions 
  • Delegate to 8 National Conventions

STAR OF YESTERYEAR is awarded to a past or present MWBA member in recognition of her outstanding bowling performance over a period of years.  She must have been a WIBC member in good standing for at least fifteen (15) years.  She must have won MWBA city recognition for her bowling ability.

 1.       Wanda is being recognized for her bowling accomplishments and abilities over the past 37 years.
 
2.       Wanda's accomplishments include:
  •  High Game:  268
  • High Series:  652
  • High Average:  170

 3.       Tournament Achievements:

  • 1st Place All Events Actual in 81 City Tournament 
  •  1st Place Doubles Handicap with partner Marie McGill 85 City Tournament
  • Bowled in OWBA Queens Tournament in 81

 4.       Other Achievements:

  •  600 Club member for 30 years
  • Competed in 30 City, 25 State, & 10 National Tournaments 
  •  Jr. League Coach for 3 years

 5.       Offices Held:

  •  League Secretary & Treasurer
  • Currently Secretary of Friday Foursome League

STAR OF TODAY is awarded to a present MWBA member in recognition of her outstanding bowling performance over a period of years.  She must have been a WIBC member in good standing for at least fifteen (15) years.  She must have won city recognition for her bowling ability; or carried at least a 180 average for five (5) consecutive years in our local MWBA.

 1.       Marti is being recognized for her accomplishments and abilities in the sport of bowling during the past 36 years.

2.       Marti's accomplishments include:

  • High Game:  279
  • High Series:  717
  • High Average:  191

3.       Tournament Achievements:

  • 1st Place Team Actual in City Tournament in 81 & 82
  • 2nd Place Team Handicap in 81 
  • All Events Actual 3rd Place in 90 
  • All Events Actual 2nd Place in 91
  • All Events Actual 4th Place in 97
  • 1st Place Singles Actual in 2002
  •  1st Place in Jr./Adult Tournament with partner LeeAnn Brewer in 77
  • 1st Place Actual in 600 Dutch Doubles Tournament with partner Bob Berry in 81.
  • 1st Place Actual in City Mixed Doubles Tournament with partner Steve Davidson in 83

  •  600 Club member for 28 years
  • Competed in 29 City, 27 State, & 7 National Tournaments
  • Jr. League Coach for 2 years
  • Designed MWBA Logo, letterhead, local award patches, and average book covers.

  • MWBA Director for 13 years
  • Held all offices on league level
  • Currently MWBA Historian and Publicity Chairman
  • Committee member of Middletown Area Mixed Doubles Tournament
  • Delegate to 10 State Conventions
